A Hopkinsville man is facing several serious charges after he allegedly assaulted and kidnapped a female victim from a home on Quisenberry Lane Saturday afternoon.
According to the Christian County Sheriff’s Department, deputies responded to reports that a female victim had been taken from a home on Quisenberry Lane be force. Investigation revealed that 49-year-old Michael Henderson of Hopkinsville had allegedly entered the home wielding a crossbow, and kidnapped the victim, forcing her into a vehicle and leaving the scene. The victim was also reportedly strangled and thrown around in the garage.
Law enforcement was able to locate Henderson at a location on Bassett Street and take him into custody—he allegedly threatened to kill deputies and their families repeatedly while being arrested. He was taken to the Christian County Jail, where he reportedly continued to resist with jail staff.
Henderson is charged with first-degree assault, first-degree strangulation, kidnapping, first-degree wanton endangerment, first-degree burglary, third-degree terroristic threatening and resisting arrest.
