The Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) and Bicentennial Volunteers Inc. partnered to provide over $1.5 million in awards for schools across the power provider’s seven-state region, with Todd County schools receiving three awards.

Todd Central High School, Todd County Middle School and South Todd Elementary School received $5,000 each in funding to support their STEM programs. Edward Cantarelli, the Todd County Middle School STEAM Teacher, says the schools are putting the funding to use and have purchased tools to provide kids with more hands-on learning opportunities.

East Calloway Elementary School, Heritage Christian Academy, Logan County CTC, the Murray Independent School District, North Calloway Elementary School and Sinking Fork Elementary School also received STEM awards.

The TVA reminds everyone that applications for the TVA Robotics Awards close on May 15. More information about the grants can be found at tva.com/robotics.
