Heritage Christian Academy’s softball team suffered a pair of late-inning losses over the weekend in Bowling Green.
Warren Central scored four runs in the bottom of the sixth inning and rallied past HCA 7-3 Saturday morning. Hadlee Hayes had two hits to lead the Lady Warriors.
Madison Warren doubled in the first inning to give HCA a 2-0 lead.
However, the Dragons bounced back with two runs in the bottom of the fourth and ten took a 3-2 advantage after five innings.
Heritage tied the game in the top of the sixth on a double by Ava DeJager.
The Lady Dragons used an inside-the-park home run to score four runs and secure the win in the bottom of the sixth.
Hadlee Hayes led HCA with a pair of hits.
Meanwhile, a five-run seventh inning sent Fort Knox past HCA 11-8 Saturday afternoon.
Presley Brewer went 3-for-4 to lead the Lady Warriors.
Heritage had taken an 8-6 lead in the bottom of the sixth inning when Brewer and Warren each stole home plate.
The Lady Eagles took advantage of five walks, a double, and a home run to take the lead in the top of the seventh.
The Lady Warriors fall to 4-5 on the season and will return to play Thursday at home against District 8 rival Fort Campbell.
