A roll-over crash on I-24 in Christian County Friday afternoon sent an Owingsville man to a Nashville hospital.
According to the report from the Christian County Sheriff’s Department, a vehicle driven by 53-year-old Gary Hopkins of Owingsville, Kentucky was heading eastbound on I-24 near the Pembroke-Oak Grove Road exit when it left the roadway for an unknown reason and overturned.
After overturning, the vehicle began to catch fire and Hopkins had to be removed from the vehicle.
He was flown to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville for treatment of serious injuries. Alcohol is listed as a possible factor in the crash.
