Former Christian County High School girls’ basketball coach Donald Dillard will be among four people who will be enshrined in the 2025 Kentucky Association of Basketball Coaches Court of Honor Friday at the Girls’ Sweet 16 Basketball Tournament.
Dillard will receive his honor between the 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. game.
During his coaching tenure at CCHS, Dillard led the Lady Colonels to two Sweet 16 semifinal appearances. He earned nine District 8 championships and three Region 2 titles.
In addition, he was selected Region 2 Coach of the Year seven times.
In 2006, Dillard was chosen to coach the Kentucky All-Stars against Indiana and also coached 2006 Kentucky Miss Basketball Arnika Brown.
Dillard will be joined in the ceremony by Joe McKay (Mason County), Jeff Honeycutt (Breathitt County), and Pete Fraley (Boyd County).
Also on Friday, Region 2 Player of the Year Ne’Vaeh Day will be recognized during halftime of the 10 a.m. game.
