Crews with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet are working double-time, as they work to repair potholes and prep roads ahead of Tuesday’s winter weather.
Expect to see crews out, working to repair potholes on state roads and highways, as many of those potholes have formed following heavy rain events and cold temperatures. Motorists should be alert for trucks with arrow boards guiding traffic to shift lanes to allow for the work. Motorists should be alert for slowing and merging traffic.
A long with those road conditions, numerous roads across the region remain closed due to flooding.
Drivers venturing out today should reduce speed and use caution. Remember, never drive through a flooded roadway — turn around, don’t drown.
