The Madisonville Police Department has charged a man with rape following an investigation on Saturday.
According to the police report, officers responded to a residence in the 1100 block of Eastside Lane around 10:30 p.m. for reports of a domestic violence. Upon arrival, officers located the female victim, who informed officers she was assaulted by Kevin Mitchell, who then had forcible sexual intercourse with her without her consent.
Mitchell allegedly admitted to assaulting the victim—officers reported seeing minor injuries on the victim.
Mitchell was arrested and charged with first-degree rape and fourth-degree assault.
