Congressman James Comer has nominated several local students in Kentucky’s First District to 2024 Military Academies.
According to a news release, Jackson Benjamin Smith of Hopkinsville High School, has received a nomination to the United States Naval Academy, United States Air Force Academy and United States Military Academy West Point. Then, Hunter William Reeves of Fort Campbell High School has been nominated to the United States Military Academy West Point and the United States Naval Academy.
Another student from Fort Campbell, Antwan Jacobe Dunmyer Jr. who attends Immanuel Christian High School received a nomination to the United States Military Academy West Point.
Preston Alexander Key of Murray High School also received a nomination to the United States Military Academy West Point.
Congressman Comer says, “I want to congratulate these outstanding students on their achievements. These students are local leaders and will now have the opportunity to attend our nation’s service academies. Each individual has demonstrated excellence in scholarship, leadership, and character. Our community should be extremely proud of these individuals. Their desire to serve our nation’s armed services does not go unnoticed, and I wish them the best as they move forward through the appointment process.”
