Pennyroyal Hospice looks to offer comfort, support to local families

Everyone has heard of hospice care—but Pennyroyal Hospice is wanting to spread the word that what they do, most of all, is offer comfort care.

That comfort care, of course, mostly involves the patients, but it also extends to the loved ones of those patients in numerous ways, with Cindy Hancock saying that can range from helping with a problem or even just giving them someone to lean on and speak with.  She says Pennyroyal Hospice is focused on supporting those going through a rough time as much as possible.

They know that people have a lot of questions when it comes to hospice services, not just about cost and options, but also about grief and hardship, if their loved one is a good fit, and more—so Hancock says reach out to them with those questions.

She says there’s a lot of hospice myths out there, but she assures that what they’re most focused on is comfort care for their patients.

Pennyroyal Hospice is a non-profit organization that services Christian, Todd, Trigg, Lyon and Caldwell counties, providing care for individuals with life-limiting illnesses or conditions.  It allows those patients to stay in their homes while maintaining a high quality of life while staying close to their loved ones.
