The Girls’ Region 2 All “A” Tournament semifinals are scheduled for tonight in Marion.
Lyon County and Crittenden County, the two favorites will be there. Another team who will be vying for a trip to the championship game will be the Lady Warriors of Heritage Christian Academy.
HCA enters tonight’s game against Crittenden County at 0-5 and has not played a game since Dec. 28 when the Lady Warriors fell 34-8 to Cloverpoint. Tonight’s game is scheduled to tip off at 7:30 p.m.
The Lady Rockets are one of the top teams in Region 2 at 10-3 on the season. They advanced to tonight’s semifinals with a 56-40 win over Livingston Central on Wednesday night.
The first semifinal features Lyon County against Caldwell County. Lyon is 11-1 and has won 10 straight games. The Lady Lyons defeated Dawson Springs 68-24 in the quarterfinals.
Caldwell County advanced to the finals with a 60-19 win over Fort Campbell. The Lady Tigers are 6-5 and have won three straight games.
