Woman injured in Hugh Hunter Road collision

A Hopkinsville woman went to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment of injuries following a wreck on Hugh Hunter Road Wednesday night. 

It happened in the 1900 block of Hugh Hunter Road at about 9:30 p.m., according to the Christian County Sheriff’s Department report, when a vehicle operated by 44-year-old Lamica Hawkins of Hopkinsville attempted to make a left turn onto a driveway to make a delivery. 

At the same moment, a vehicle driven by 32-year-old Kyle Stone of Oak Grove attempted to pass Hawkins, telling deputies he believed she was driving strangely and wanted to get past her. 

Stone’s vehicle sideswiped Hawkins’—Hawkins was transported to Jennie Stuart for complaints of pain to her neck. 

Everyone involved was wearing a seat belt.
