HPD investigating theft of Bud Hudson Youth Football trailer

The Hopkinsville Police Department is investigating after a trailer containing equipment for Hopkinsville-Christian County Bud Hudson Youth Football was stolen Tuesday.

According to the police report, a suspect reportedly stole the trailer from a residence on Pin Oak Drive sometime Tuesday morning between the hours of 8 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. and that trailer contained approximately $25,000 worth of equipment belonging to Bud Hudson Youth Football.

Combined with the trailer, the amount stolen was valued at $28,500.

Officials with Bud Hudson say losing the equipment means a setback for the kids in the community who rely on the league to learn discipline, growth and valuable life skills while having fun and playing ball.

The trailer has Arizona license plates and is described as a white, 6×12 enclosed trailer.
