The Christian County Colonels traveled to Rowan County and dropped a pair of boys’ high school basketball games over the weekend.
On Saturday, Rowan defeated Christian County 65-45.
Rahsean Stevenson led the Colonels with 17 points and NaDarien Rowe added 14.
The key stat in the game was 20 turnovers by the Colonels. The Vikings only had four turnovers.
Rowan outscored the Colonels 38-22 in the second half to pull away for the win.
On Friday, Breathitt County came from seven points down in the first half to win 72-55 over the Colonels. Stevenson and Kam Williams each had 15 points and Zion Acree added 10 for Christian County, which slipped to 0-9 on the season.
Christian County led 15-8 after one quarter, but cold shooting allowed the Bobcats to get back in the lead and eventually pull away for the win. Christian County shot 38.6 percent from the field on 19-of-44 shooting. But they were only 4 of 17 behind the arc.
The Colonels are off until Jan. 3 when they will play host to Russellville.
