The nation’s largest all-breed, purebred livestock show is coming back to Kentucky to celebrate 50 years of exceptional animal production.

The North American International Livestock Exposition (NAILE) commenced in Louisville at the Kentucky Exposition Center on November 7th and will run through November 21st.

In the early 1970s, the Union Stock Yard in Chicago closed down and passed the baton that was NAILE to Kentucky. Over the years the bluegrass state was able to make the exposition its own, expanding the show to 10 livestock divisions, attracting participants from all 48 contiguous states and nearly 30,000 entries each year.

The longtime visitors or participants of the NAILE will remember the unique green shavings in the show ring, which have become an iconic tradition for the event over the years.

If you are interested in visiting the green shavings, general admission tickets cost $8 per person and parking is $12.
