Heritage Christian Academy was represented at the 2024 Kentucky Beef Council Cross Country State Championships by two runners Saturday at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington.
Aaron Hensley finished 116th overall in a time of 19:41.86 in the boys’ Class 1-A race.
Louisville Collegiate’s James Gurley won the boys’ Class 1-A meet with a time of 15:50.62.
Villa Madonna earned the team title with 108 points, followed by St. Henry (173) and Dawson Springs (181). Fort Campbell was 14th with 427 points.
In the girls’ Class 1-A race, Genna Calhoun ran a 27:07.64 in her first state tournament appearance. Calhoun finished 167th overall.
Beechwood’s Lily Parke won the meet in a time of 19:01.72.
Lexington Christian won the team championship with 53 points and won in a tiebreaker over Beechwood (53). Owensboro Catholic was third with 99 points.
