It’s looking like our streak of dry weather will break just in time for Halloween.
To start the work week however, the region is set to have sunny skies and above average temperatures leading into Halloween, but then Forecaster Justin Gibbs with the National Weather Service in Paducah says a cold front swings through on Thursday, bringing with it a chance for rain and thunderstorms.
There’s no severe weather in the forecast for Halloween, but Gibbs says the wind and rain will really chill things down for trick-or-treaters.
Then, another chance for stormy weather swirls up next week, though its still too far out for any concrete details. Gibbs says the November outlook is showing above average temperatures and below average chances for precipitation.
Gibbs says its likely the long-range winter forecast is looking similar—stay tuned to the WHOP Family of Stations for more information on any stormy or rainy weather that crops up in the forecast.
