There will be a new Region 2 All “A” Volleyball Tournament champion in 2024 after Crittenden County knocked off defending champion University Heights Academy 2-0 Thursday night in Blazer Gym.
The Lady Rockets advance to play host Heritage Christian at 9 a.m. Saturday in the All “A” region semifinals. Fort Campbell will meet Livingston Central at 10 a.m. in the other semifinal matchup and the championship is scheduled for 11 a.m.
Crittenden took the first set Thursday night 25-17 and claimed the match with a 25-14 win in the second set.
Kiley Lambert led UHA with three kills and a solo block. Olivia Oakley had two kills, eight digs and one ace and Katherine Wood added one kill and one ace. Gretchen Durham had four assists.
