The Hopkins County Sheriff’s Department has arrested and charged a man in relation to a rape investigation.
According to a news release, 31-year-old Cameron Tandy of Madisonville is alleged to having unlawfully entered a residence on August 18 and while there, forcibly raped an adult woman in the home. The victim suffered injuries from the attack and was treated at Baptist Health Deaconess Hospital.
Following a search warrant executed on Tandy’s residence on Wednesday, he was taken into custody and charged with first-degree rape and second-degree burglary.
