Burley wins CCHS elementary race for Saints

The SS Peter and Paul cross country team participated in the Christian County Invitational Cross Country meet Saturday at the Hopkinsville Community College campus.

In the elementary school division, Saints Peter and Paul runner Olive Burley took first place in 6:59.70.

Madeline Lose also earned a top-five finish, completing the 1-mile run in 7:31.40.

Others competing for the Saints included Bex Phillips (31, 8:43.10), Jaae Oni Hopkins (40, 8:56.60), Valentinia Onate (41, 8:59.60), Serenity Anderson (44, 9:00.60), Maebry Jones (47, 9:06.50), Karleigh Walker (48, 9:07.90), Amelia Casey (52, 9:12.80), Hallie Casey (54, 9:17.30), Kennedy Walker (74, 10:16.90), Kaelin Adams (76, 10:24.40), Harley Bush (94, 12:49.10), and Laura Bobbett (101, 16:00).

In the Middle School Girls Division, Korie Hurt took 11th place in the 3,000-meter race in a time of 13:08.10.

For the boys, Telvin James led the way in the Elementary Division by finishing 45th in 8:38.20.

Others running for the Saints included Patrick Hogan (53, 9:06.20), Isaias Onate (63, 9:52.90), Finnigan Roberts (66, 10:09), Cash Burroughs (71, 10:28.50), Beau Burroughs (73, 10:44.70), Colton Mabry (76, 11:40.40) and Jackson Mabry (81, 13:01.60).

In the Middle School Division, Kannon Hurt led the Saints with a 48th-place finish in a time of 13:34.60 on the 3,000-meter course.

Caleb Phillips was 74th in 14:39.80. Others running for the Saints included Jonas McFadden (110, 17:41.60) and Marley Jn Baptiste (117, 18:17.50).
