The Christian County Colonels will have a tough assignment tonight when they open their 2024 high school football season against host Warren East in the J. Allen Builders Bowl in Bowling Green.
Warren East is coming off a 6-6 record in 2023 and returns senior quarterback Dane Parsley, who is close to setting a number of school records, including career rushing yards and touchdowns, career passing touchdowns and career completions.
The Colonels, who were 2-9 a year ago, will counter with a defense that has improved the last few weeks in scrimmages.
First-year Christian County coach Ethan Atchley said his team must try to find a way to cut down on mistakes and slow down Parsley.
Tonight’s game is scheduled to kick off at 6 p.m. Airtime is 5:30 p.m. on 95.3 FM The Farm.
