On Monday morning local athletic directors and coaches met to discuss details of the boys’ and girls’ 8th district tournament.
The tournament will be held at Christian County High School, and will begin on February 26th.
With Heritage Christian Academy now being eligible for KHSAA postseason activities, the 8th district tournament will include 5 teams for the boys’ tournament.
A play-in game between Heritage Christian and Ft. Campbell, the 4th and 5th seeds respectfully will be played on the 26th at 6:00 p.m.
Due to University Heights not having a girls’ team this year, the girls’ tournament will immediately start with the semifinals including four teams.
On Tuesday, the one-seed Christian Co. will play four seed Ft. Campbell at 6:00 while Hopkinsville (2) and Heritage Christian (3) will follow at 7:30 p.m.
On Wednesday the boys’ semifinal games will take place with the winner of the Monday play-game taking on the one seed UHA at 6:00 p.m. while Christian Co. (2) and Hopkinsville (3) will play at 7:30 p.m.
The 8th District Championship games will be played on Friday with the girls’ game at 6:00 p.m. and the boys’ game at 7:30 p.m.
